Rewind to April 26th!!!

OMG! Where the heck has time gone??? Well, better late than never...so lets go back a bit to April 26th. My day started out pretty normal. I was very pregnant...and 4 days past my due date. I wasn't going to try any of the crazy things to start my labor...i tried walking...and walking...and walking some more. No luck! I pretty much gave up and figured I was likely going to be induced the next week. I had an appointment scheduled for the 28th. I wanted to go to hobby lobby to pick up some headbands for the baby before she got here...and of course I had to go to Walmart, as usual. I called my mom to see if she wanted to go with me. I started feeling a little weird, but i just assumed it was nothing. I had a ton of energy and luckily Mason was in a good mood so running errands wasn't going to be much of a chore. My mom got off work early, so i headed up to her house. As i was driving, i was pretty sure i was having contractions. They weren't at all painful and weren't regular by any means. So i shrugged it off. I told my mom that i thought i had contractions...but nothing to get excited about. we headed to hobby lobby and walmart...i started having more regular contractions-but of course i didnt want to get my mom's hopes up (or mine for that matter) so i just stayed put. we were only in walmart for about an hour and i had 4 contractions. it wasnt until we got back up to my moms house that i started thinking i might actually be in labor. My mom wanted me to stay at her house because she didnt want me driving, but i told her i hadnt had any more contractions and i would be fine. on my way home i called Koko and told him that i might be in labor...but i doubted that it was going to turn into anything and not to rush home. as the day went on they were irregular but between 10 and 20 minutes apart. around 8pm Koko had me call my midwife because they started getting stronger. I was so happy Jill was on that night. When i talked to Jill she said it didnt sound like i was in labor (im assuming because i was in a good mood and talking really friendly lol) and to take a bath and go to bed, if i started to be in a lot of pain to go ahead and go to the hospital. Koko and i started to get ready for bed...he had just got into bed and my contractions started getting alot worse and were only about 5 minutes apart (according to him). I was still convinced that i wasn't actually in labor and if we went in i was just going to get sent home. no thanks. Koko insisted that we take Mas up to my parents and he was going to take me into the hospital. at this point i was pretty sure that i might actually be in labor! so we get into the hospital and sure enough i get admitted because my contractions were 5-6 minutes apart. i still wont admit that Koko was right about that! anyway i was still in a really good mood and the contractions were painful...but not like i had imagined...and were NOTHING compared to the labor i went through with Mason. it was around 3am when i got an epidural...man oh man, this doctor was amazing! i still could feel my legs when i got the epidural with Mason, this time-uh uh, i couldnt feel a thing!!! it was around 430am when my mom came to the hospital. i got about an hour of sleep at that point. i was still in a good mood tho! Around 10am they came in to see how far i had progressed...i was completely shocked when they said ok...you're ready! i seriously couldnt believe it! So they got everything ready and Mia was then born at 10:37am on April 27th! she was so big! 8lbs 12oz 18.5in. my *favorite* midwife Kathy delivered her...and she was also the one that delivered Mason. We were all laughing because we couldnt believe how big she was and how much she looked like Mason. My favorite part of that day was when Mason got to come in and meet Mia. He was so nervous and wasnt really sure what to think. He loved her right away and luckily for us wasnt jealous at all! He even got a present from her-a brand new baseball bat and a pack of baseballs! We got to come home 2 days later:)
